Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (about 2.25 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (Halal-certified)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • Additional melted butter (for brushing, optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and beaten eggs.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture. Stir until the dough starts to come together.
  4. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. First Rise: Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  6. Shape the Rolls: Gently deflate the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each piece into a ball.
  7. Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake to Perfection: Brush the tops with melted butter if desired, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cooling and Serving: Allow the rolls to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For a richer taste, brush the rolls with melted butter before and after baking.
