A refreshing homemade lemonade that strikes the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 6 lemons
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • Ice
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons to make about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the sugar.
  3. Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in the 6 cups of water and stir well.
  5. Take a taste test; if it’s too tart, add more sugar or water to balance it out.
  6. Pour the lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh lemon slices.

Notes

If there are any leftovers, store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. To keep it cold, freeze lemon slices or lemon juice in ice cube trays.
