A creamy and flavorful homemade hummus that’s easy to make and perfect for serving with pita or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 12 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt in a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water gradually for desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Garnish with paprika and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to three months.
