Fluffy homemade cinnamon rolls perfect for cozy mornings and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for filling)
  • Cream cheese frosting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat the milk and butter: Heat milk and butter until warm (not boiling), then add to the dry ingredients along with the eggs.
  3. Knead the dough: Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Let it rise: Once kneaded, let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough: After the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Roll and slice: Carefully roll up the dough tightly from one end to the other, then cut the roll into slices—about 12 should do.
  7. Let them rise again: Place the sliced rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  8. Bake to perfection: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Frost the rolls: Once cooled, drizzle with cream cheese frosting for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

For best results, do not rush the kneading step and ensure your yeast is fresh for proper rising.
