A comforting and creamy soup made with frozen hash browns, garlic, onions, and heavy cream, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen hash browns
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Sauté the aromatics in a large pot until softened.
  2. Add the frozen hash browns and broth to the pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, onion powder, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat through gently without boiling.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and alongside crusty bread.

Notes

For a thicker soup, mash some of the hash browns after simmering. You can also add carrots or celery for extra nutrition.
