A flavorful and easy-to-prepare grilled marinated chicken recipe that combines tenderness with a zesty marinade for the perfect summer dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, honey, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Make sure each piece is well coated in that savory goodness.
  3. Refrigerate and Infuse: Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results). The longer it marinates, the more flavorful it becomes!
  4. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure that the chicken sears nicely and gets those perfect grill marks.
  5. Prepare to Grill: Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade to avoid contamination.
  6. Grill the Chicken: Grill chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the juices run clear. You’re looking for that beautiful golden brown color.
  7. Rest Before Serving: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. This step helps retain the juices, making every bite succulent.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate overnight. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
