A flavorful marinade that infuses chicken with the essence of Mediterranean herbs and lemon, perfect for grilling or baking.

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. Whisk the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken until well-coated.
  3. Chill and Flavor Infusion: Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat Your Grill or Oven: Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  5. Prepare the Chicken for Cooking: Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Cook the Chicken: Grill or bake the chicken until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side on the grill or 25-30 minutes in the oven.
  7. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Marinating longer enhances flavor, but do not exceed 24 hours. Use fresh herbs for a different flavor profile.
