  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices (for serving)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (for tzatziki)
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the chicken mixture: In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, feta, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the patties: With clean hands, form the mixture into patties of even thickness.
  3. Cook the patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Prepare the tzatziki: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, dill (if using), and salt.
  5. Assemble and serve: Serve the chicken burgers on buns, topped with lettuce, tomato slices, and tzatziki.

For a vegetarian option, consider using a black bean or chickpea patty topped with tzatziki.
