Delicious and easy-to-make granola bars that are perfect for a healthy snack or breakfast on-the-go.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., peanut butter, almond butter)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or dried fruit (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and salt in a large bowl, mixing to ensure even distribution.
  3. Melt the honey, nut butter, and vanilla in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  4. Coat the dry mixture with the melted honey mixture, stirring to thoroughly combine.
  5. Add the chocolate chips or dried fruit, if using, and mix well.
  6. Press the granola mixture into the prepared dish to create an even layer.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Press firmly to prevent crumbling. Store in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze for three months.
