  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pita bread or flatbreads, for serving
  • Fresh vegetables for garnish (e.g., lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, ground cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix the spices well to create a fragrant marinade.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, along with the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar. Mix thoroughly to ensure every piece of chicken is well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes, or preferably overnight.
  3. Prepare the Grill: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until it is cooked through and charred.
  5. Rest the Chicken: Transfer it to a cutting board and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
