Tender steak bites seared to perfection and smothered in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, paired with velvety mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic, optional
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak by patting the cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steak cubes in a single layer for 2-3 minutes, flip, and sear for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Introduce butter, minced garlic, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, drizzling melted butter over the steak.
  5. Add the Parmesan cheese once the garlic is fragrant and stir until melted.
  6. Garnish with red pepper flakes and parsley, then remove from heat.
  7. Prepare mashed potatoes by boiling Yukon Gold potatoes until tender, then drain.
  8. Mix in butter, heavy cream, roasted garlic, sour cream, and season to taste.
  9. Plate mashed potatoes topped with Garlic Parmesan Steak Bites and sauce.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality butter and freshly grated Parmesan. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
