A delightful dish featuring steak and shrimp coated in a luscious garlic butter sauce, perfect for gatherings and cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or preferred, sliced or cubed)
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the protein: Pat steak and shrimp dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak pieces until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove from the pan.
  3. Cook the shrimp: Add more olive oil to the skillet if needed, then cook shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  4. Make the garlic butter: Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add flavor enhancers: Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce if using; stir to combine.
  6. Combine: Return steak and shrimp to the skillet and gently toss to coat with the garlic butter sauce.
  7. Plate and garnish: Garnish with chopped parsley or chives and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh garlic rather than jarred minced garlic. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
