A fun and nostalgic dessert combining crispy golden crust with cold vanilla ice cream, perfect for impressing friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup cornflakes
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Oil for frying
  • Chocolate syrup (for serving)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Cherries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Scoop the ice cream into balls and freeze them for at least 2 hours.
  2. Crush the cornflakes into small pieces and set them aside.
  3. Mix the flour, eggs, and milk to create a batter.
  4. Dip each ice cream ball into the batter, then roll it in the crushed cornflakes to coat.
  5. Freeze the coated ice cream balls for another hour.
  6. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Fry each ball for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve immediately with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries on top if desired.

Notes

Chill your utensils for easier handling of ice cream. Ensure the oil is at the right temperature for frying.
