These Cloud-like Vanilla Donuts are light, fluffy, and bursting with vanilla goodness, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Combine the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter in another bowl.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut cavity in the pan about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or freeze for up to three months.
