A warm and comforting casserole that combines the flavors of everything bagels with a rich, custardy texture.

Ingredients

  • 6 everything bagels, cut into cubes
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
  • Poppy seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Add the bagel cubes to the egg mixture and gently stir to combine.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheese, cream cheese pieces, and chopped green onions.
  5. Pour the bagel mixture into a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle sesame and poppy seeds on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
