A quick and flavorful twist on traditional egg rolls, this one-bowl wonder is packed with vibrant colors and satisfying textures.

  • 1 lb ground pork (or chicken)
  • 1 package coleslaw mix
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Brown the meat: Add the ground pork (or chicken) to the skillet. Cook until nicely browned.
  3. Sauté garlic and ginger: Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Add the coleslaw mix: Toss in the coleslaw mix and cook until the cabbage is tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and green onions: Drizzle the soy sauce over the mixture and stir in the sliced green onions.
  6. Plate and garnish: Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

This dish is gluten-free if you use low-sodium soy sauce. It’s great as leftovers and can be customized with different proteins or vegetables.
