A nostalgic and creamy Egg Custard Tart that’s perfect for any family gathering or as a sweet treat with coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Nutmeg (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a tart pan and press it firmly against the edges.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle a little nutmeg on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or berries. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze sections wrapped for up to a month.
