A simple and elegant recipe for cooking ribeye steak in the oven, enhanced with garlic and fresh rosemary.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ribeye steak
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the ribeye steak generously with salt, pepper, minced garlic, and freshly chopped rosemary on both sides.
  3. Melt the butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sear the seasoned steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 5-10 minutes depending on doneness.
  6. Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing to ensure tenderness.

Notes

For ultra-tender results, choose a ribeye with good marbling. If your skillet isn’t oven-safe, use a baking dish for the oven step.
