A delightful fusion of Italian and Mexican flavors, this Easy Mexican Pizza features a crispy tortilla base topped with seasoned beef, black beans, and melted cheese, customizable with fresh toppings.

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade blend
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 1 can (14 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced olives, green onions, jalapeños, sour cream, avocado, or guacamole

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart until browned.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning and salsa, mixing well and simmering for a few minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Assemble the pizzas by placing tortillas on a baking sheet and topping with the beef mixture.
  5. Add drained black beans and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and edges are crispy.
  7. Finish with fresh toppings of your choice.
  8. Slice the pizzas into wedges and serve warm with sour cream or guacamole.
