  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare it for that beautiful pie.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, softened butter, salt, and baking soda. Mix until you form a crumbly dough that smells like heaven.
  3. Take the crust mixture and press it evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the packed brown sugar, remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into your smooth mixture.
  6. Carefully pour the chocolate chip filling into the prepped crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
