A cozy breakfast casserole that brings family together, featuring layers of eggs, sausage or bacon, cheese, and bread.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread, cubed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 pound cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grab a 9×13 inch baking dish and grease it.
  3. Spread the cubed bread across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread evenly.
  6. Scatter the crumbled sausage (or bacon) and shredded cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the eggs are set and top is golden brown.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
