A comforting chicken dish with a crispy, golden crust and a creamy sauce that brings the restaurant experience home.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for baking
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off before coating in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle olive oil on top.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Combine heavy cream, chicken broth, and dried basil in a saucepan and heat over medium until warmed through.
  8. Serve the creamy sauce over the crusted chicken.

Notes

Don’t skip the olive oil drizzle for a crispy texture. For spice, add red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
