A hearty and comforting crockpot sandwich featuring tender beef roast infused with Italian flavors and served on hoagie rolls.

Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef roast
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 jar (16 oz) pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Hoagie or Italian rolls
  • Provolone cheese (optional)
  • Sliced onions and peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Mix the Italian dressing mix and beef broth until combined smoothly; pour over the roast.
  3. Add pepperoncini peppers over the roast.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat for 8 hours.
  5. Shred the beef with forks after cooking.
  6. Combine the shredded beef with the juices in the crockpot.
  7. Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese and optional toppings.

Notes

Trim excess fat from the beef roast for a leaner dish. Adjust pepperoncini for preferred spiciness.
