A fun fusion of cheeseburgers and tacos, featuring juicy beef patties in soft tortillas topped with your favorite fixings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1–2 tbsp oil (for searing)
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1½–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced onions, pickles
  • Optional sauces: ranch, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and place them onto the hot surface.
  4. Smash each portion flat into thin patties using a spatula or burger press.
  5. Cook the patties for 2–3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until done.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft.
  7. Lay a warmed tortilla flat and place a burger patty on one half. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Add your preferred toppings and fold the tortilla over like a taco.
  9. Serve immediately with dipping sauces on the side.

Notes

Consider using ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Feel free to adjust spices based on your taste.
