A delicious Thai-inspired sandwich featuring crispy fried chicken thighs, marinated in buttermilk and topped with fresh slaw and spicy sauce.

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 sandwich bun
  • Spicy sauce (sriracha or similar)
  • Fresh slaw (cabbage, carrots, and cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by soaking it in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the marinated chicken, coated in the flour mixture, until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Toast the sandwich bun on a skillet or in the oven.
  6. Assemble the sandwich with the fried chicken and fresh slaw.
