  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce or greens
  • Zesty sauce (such as tartar sauce or remoulade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp mixture: In a bowl, combine the shrimp, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well to ensure each shrimp is coated in the aromatic spices.
  2. Set up the breading station: Dip each shrimp in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat the oil: Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  4. Fry the shrimp: Fry the shrimp until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Toast the burger buns: Lightly toast the burger buns while the shrimp are frying.
  6. Assemble the burgers: Place lettuce on the bottom bun, add the fried shrimp, and drizzle with zesty sauce.
  7. Serve with love: Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy variant, mix sriracha with your zesty sauce. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs or replace shrimp with fried tofu for a vegetarian option.
