Deliciously crispy mashed potato fries that reinvent leftovers into a fun snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or leftover)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour if preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. Combine smooth mashed potatoes, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Optionally add Parmesan.
  2. Shape the mixture into cylindrical fry shapes and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan or preheat the oven to 425°F. Fry or bake the fries until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs or extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For the best texture, ensure mashed potatoes are smooth and free of lumps. Baking is a healthier option.
