  • 3 large russet potatoes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. Heat the Oil: In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 325°F (160°C).
  4. First Fry: Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-6 minutes until they are soft but not colored.
  5. Raise the Heat: Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Second Fry: Fry again in batches for 2-3 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
  7. Season & Serve: Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, fry in small batches and always check the oil temperature.
