Delicious rolls filled with savory shrimp and gooey cheese wrapped in flaky pastry, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10–14 oz cooked shrimp (chopped)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough (thawed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or blend)
  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2–3 tbsp fresh parsley or chives (chopped)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: lemon zest or hot sauce for extra zing

Instructions

  1. Combine the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, shredded cheese, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, and chopped herbs. Season with salt and pepper and mix everything evenly until well combined.
  2. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to make clean-up a breeze.
  3. Prepare the dough: Unroll the puff pastry or crescent dough on a clean surface. If using crescent dough, be sure to pinch the seams together to create a cohesive sheet.
  4. Spread the filling: Spread the shrimp and cheese filling evenly over the dough, making sure to cover every inch.
  5. Roll the dough: Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log, ensuring that the filling stays neatly inside.
  6. Slice the rolls: Cut the rolled dough into 8 to 10 equal pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake to perfection: Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has melted beautifully.
  8. Cool and serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving warm, optionally drizzling with lemon juice or a hint of hot sauce for that extra zing.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is softened for a smooth filling. You can assemble these rolls in advance and refrigerate them before baking. Experiment with different cheeses or spices for flavor variations.
