Creamy, cheesy scalloped potatoes layered with tender slices of potato and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, Gruyère, or a mix)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Add half of the grated cheese on top.
  6. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and season again.
  7. Pour the heavy cream evenly over everything.
  8. Top with the remaining cheese.
  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes.
  12. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
