This Creamy Bacon Mushroom Pasta combines crispy bacon and earthy mushrooms in a luscious creamy sauce, providing a cozy meal perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Crisp the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside, keeping the fat in the skillet.
  3. Sauté the Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  5. Combine the Ingredients: Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the skillet, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve & Garnish: Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes can freshen the dish.
