  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs until well beaten.
  2. Add the milk, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and sugar to the eggs and mix until combined.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  4. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  5. Cook the bread slices in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve with maple syrup.
