Delightful cinnamon rolls enveloped in rich butter, sweet brown sugar, and fragrant cinnamon, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Heat the Wet Ingredients: In a saucepan, heat the milk, butter, and water until warm (110°F to 115°F).
  3. Mix the Dough: Add the warm mixture to the flour mixture, stirring in the egg.
  4. Knead the Dough: Transfer your dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
  5. Let the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a warm area and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  6. Roll Out the Dough: Once risen, roll out your dough into a large rectangle.
  7. Spread the Butter and Sprinkle the Sugars: Spread softened butter generously over the dough, followed by brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  8. Roll and Slice the Dough: Roll the dough up tightly and cut into slices.
  9. Place in Baking Dish: Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  10. Second Rise Time: Allow the rolls to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  11. Bake to Perfection: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Make the Icing: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with two tablespoons of milk to create icing.

Notes
