Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls with a sweet icing, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl: warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Create the dough by adding wet ingredients to dry and mixing until it forms a dough.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise, covered, in a warm place for around 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface, then spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top.
  7. Form the rolls by tightly rolling up the dough and cutting into 1.5-inch thick slices.
  8. Second rise: place slices in a greased pan, let them rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Make the icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over warm rolls.
