  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (ensure it is alcohol-free)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional; choose your favorite or leave out for nut-free)
  • To taste Sea salt (optional, for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the unsalted butter, packed brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels in a large bowl and stir gently to coat.
  6. Spread the coated pretzels in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Sprinkle with sea salt immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Cool completely on the baking sheet.
  10. Break apart any pieces that may have stuck together and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for longer freshness. If they soften, a quick 10 minutes in the oven can restore crunch.
