  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour.
  2. Combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals until melted.
  3. Whisk together eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and creamy.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in the all-purpose flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
  8. Allow cakes to cool for one minute.
  9. Invert each ramekin onto a plate to reveal the cake.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra touch.
