These Chocolate Crunch Bars combine crispy cereal, graham crackers, and melted chocolate for a nostalgic and indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups crispy cereal (Rice Krispies or cornflakes)
  • 1½ to 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup (approximately 2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons peanut butter (optional for creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Prepare a 9×13-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.
  2. Combine the crispy cereal, graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, brown sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl until evenly combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture into your prepared pan and press it firmly into the bottom in an even layer.
  4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the mixture is set and lightly golden.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the warm base.
  6. Add small dollops of peanut butter over the chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Allow the chocolate to soften for a few minutes, then spread it into a smooth layer over the base.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 to 2 hours until the chocolate is firmly set.
  9. Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment edges and cut them into squares or rectangles.
