A classic recipe for warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and chewy centers.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and salt.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
