  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract while mixing.
  6. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Fold in the sour cream until well combined.
  8. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust.
  10. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is slightly jiggly.
  11. Let it cool to room temperature and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Notes

For a richer taste, consider using a water bath when baking. Serve with whipped cream or berries for added contrast.
