A comforting Chicken Marsala recipe featuring tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a rich Marsala wine sauce, perfect for family gatherings or special occasions.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • ¾ cup Marsala wine
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season and dredge the chicken by generously adding salt and pepper, then coating in flour.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until ready.
  3. Sear the chicken in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Sauté the sliced mushrooms in the same skillet until browned.
  6. Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the skillet’s bottom.
  7. Simmer gently to develop the sauce, then combine the chicken back in.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour or cornstarch. Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the chicken for a nice sear.
