A comforting and nostalgic casserole made with ground beef, rice, and delicious melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  3. Drain off the excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Combine the uncooked rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in the skillet.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes.
  7. Add the cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 10 minutes until melted.
