A warm and comforting mash made from carrots and parsnips, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups parsnips, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the root vegetables: Place the parsnips and carrots in a pot of boiling water and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the vegetables thoroughly and return them to the pot.
  3. Incorporate butter and milk, then mash until smooth.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

Adjust the texture by mashing to your preference; add more milk if it’s too thick.
