Delicious Brown Butter Cookies with a rich, nutty flavor and a perfect chewy center.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden and nutty.
  3. Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients gently.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack after a few minutes on the baking sheet.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve with ice cream for an extra treat!
