A flavorful one-pan meal that combines tender chicken, succulent shrimp, and a creamy bourbon-infused sauce, bringing the zest of Cajun cuisine straight to your dinner table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Cooked rice or pasta for serving
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the chicken in the skillet until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the shrimp in the same skillet until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
  4. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute to infuse the oil with flavor.
  5. Add the bourbon, scraping any browned bits, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, soy sauce, and Cajun seasoning, simmering until thickened.
  7. Combine the chicken and shrimp with the sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve over rice or pasta, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, swap chicken and shrimp for firm tofu and seasonal veggies. Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
