A rich and hearty Lasagna alla Bolognese, featuring layers of flavorful Bolognese sauce, creamy béchamel, and perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 2 cups Bolognese sauce
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna sheets in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes.
  3. Spread a layer of Bolognese sauce in a baking dish.
  4. Layer the cooked lasagna sheets over the Bolognese sauce.
  5. Pour a layer of béchamel sauce over the pasta, adding some grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of béchamel and shredded mozzarella.
  7. Drizzle olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling the lasagna a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
