A warm, bubbly dessert that combines fresh or frozen blueberries with a golden cake crust for a nostalgic and comforting treat.

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the blueberries evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the sugar over the blueberries.
  4. Pour the dry cake mix over the blueberries and sugar.
  5. Mix the melted butter, water, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Pour this mixture over the cake mix layer.
  7. Bake without stirring for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
