Blackened Fish Tacos

Delicious blackened fish tacos bursting with flavor, served with fresh toppings.

Ingredients

  • 2 fish fillets (such as tilapia or snapper)
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Taco shells
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Sliced avocado
  • Tomato salsa
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat until it’s hot and ready for cooking.
  2. Rub the fish fillets generously with blackening seasoning.
  3. Add olive oil to the hot skillet and place the seasoned fish into it, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Warm your taco shells in the oven or lightly on a skillet.
  5. Take the warmed taco shells and place the blackened fish inside, topping with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and fresh tomato salsa.
  6. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime wedges on the side.

Notes

Feel free to switch fish types or use homemade blackening seasoning by mixing paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and herbs.
