A delightful French dessert that combines berries with a creamy custard-like batter, perfect for brunch or a light dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as cherries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish.
  4. Distribute the mixed berries over the batter.
  5. Add the remaining batter over the berries.
  6. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
