  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  3. Push vegetables to the side and add beef strips; season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  6. Lower heat and stir in sour cream until well combined and warmed through.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For a more tender beef, choose a good quality sirloin. You can add vegetables like bell peppers for extra nutrition.
