A comforting dish combining creamy macaroni and cheese with smoky BBQ chicken, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 8 ounces Macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • ½ cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper, grill or sauté until cooked through, then shred or chop.
  3. Make the roux by melting butter in the pot, adding flour, and whisking until golden and bubbly.
  4. Create the cheese sauce by slowly pouring in milk and whisking continuously until it thickens.
  5. Mix in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni and chicken with the cheese sauce until well coated.
  7. Add the BBQ sauce, folding it gently into the mixture.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Using rotisserie chicken saves time but adds great flavor. Feel free to mix different cheeses to elevate the taste.
